Walker Department of Mechanical Engineering
Advanced Power Systems and Control Laboratory
Our goal is to establish a long term research and educational program in the area of automatic control and dynamic systems to:
- 01
Conduct frontier research on theories of switching control, optimal control, non-minimum phase systems and control, and reduced order modeling
- 02
Explore innovative strategies to achieve optimal system performance and efficiency during transient operations
- 03
Broaden the impact of research through technology transfer and the education of the future workforce of the renewable energy industry.
Research Program
We pursue research in
- 01Data Attribution and Agentic AI for Control
- 02Oil/Gas Drilling Automation
